Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Sunday's matchup against the New York Giants. Gronkowski's left ankle has been the main injury focus heading into Super Bowl XLVI, and he took the field for the second straight day after practicing on a limited bases Thursday for the first time since suffering his injury in the AFC Championship Game against Baltimore.
The Patriots listed 10 other players as questionable, including safety Patrick Chung (knee), guard Logan Mankins (knee), linebacker Rob Ninkovich (hip), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee) and Welker (knee).
Wide receivers Tim Brown, Cris Carter and Andre Reed were among those who did not make the cut.
"Raider nation!! Don't bother to watch tonight they passed on me again!!" wrote Brown, who set Raiders franchise records for receptions, receiving yards and punt return yards. "In fact, no wrs made it again. Gotta get some of y'all in there!!"
Underwood played in six games for the Patriots this season and caught three passes for 30 yards.
The 23-year-old Silvestro saw his firs NFL action in a victory over Miami on Dec. 24. He was released on Dec. 29 and signed back to the practice squad two days later.
Stafford obtained 21 votes to outdistance Cleveland linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, San Francisco QB Alex Smith, Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith, along with Denver defensive end Elvis Dumervil, New England defensive end Andre Carter and New York Giants QB Eli Manning.
Birk, who just finished his in 14th NFL season, has started 96 consecutive games, the NFL's second-longest active streak among centers. This past season, he blocked for Ravens running back Ray Rice, who scored a franchise-record 15 total touchdowns and rushed for a career-high 1,364 yards. Rice also led the league with 2,068 yards from scrimmage.
Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Denver linebacker Von Miller and Carolina quarterback Cam Newton were named the defensive and offensive Rookies of the Year, respectively, for the 2011 season. The voting, as conducted by the Associated Press, saw Miller receive 39 of 50 total votes. San Francisco linebacker Aldon Smith obtained the other 11 votes.
Miller becomes the second Denver player to win a Defensive Rookie of the Year award, joining linebacker Mike Croel (1991). Miller, the second overall pick of the draft out of Texas A&M, had 64 tackles and 11 1/2 sacks during the season. He played the final four games with a cast to protect his surgically repaired right thumb.
Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player Saturday, as voted by the Associated Press. Rodgers won the award in a landslide as he received 48 of the 50 possible votes from a national media panel. New Orleans QB Drew Brees, who was honored as the league's top offensive player, got the other two votes.
In 2011, Rodgers set the NFL single-season record for passer rating (122.5) and set team marks for touchdown passes (45), passing yards (4,643), completion percentage (68.3), yards per attempt (9.25), touchdown/interception ratio (7.5) and 300-yard games (eight).

Oddsmakers have released the odds for the 2009 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award and Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry has been made the opening favorite.
Seattle took Curry with the fourth overall pick in April's NFL draft and plan on inserting him into its starting lineup right away. The Hawks traded linebacker Julian Peterson in the offseason, so Curry is expected to have a significant role in Seattle's defense next year and that's one of the primary reasons he is the favorite to win the NFL ROY Award.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook MySportsbook.com have made Curry a 5/1 favorite to win this year's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. Given that he was the best defensive prospect in this year's draft and how he'll have plenty of opportunities to make plays in '09, Curry offers a ton of value at 5/1.
Another thing working for Curry is the position he plays. A linebacker has won the defensive ROY award six straight times and eight of the last nine years. Jerod Mayo, Patrick Willis, DeMeco Ryans, Shawne Merriman, Jonathan Vilma, Terrell Suggs, Kendrell Bell and Brian Urlacher were the most recent linebackers to take home the award.
Following Curry at 5/1 are Tyson Jackson (Chiefs) at 7/1, James Laurinaitas (Rams) at 8/1, Brian Orakpo (Redskins) at 10/1, Rey Maualuga (Bengals) at 10/1 and Jerry Peria (Falcons) at 10/1.
All the players mentioned above are expected to start for their respective teams, but Jackson and Peria are going to have a tough time being recognized on a national level given they're both defensive linemen. D-linemen rarely put up the numbers that it takes to win an individual award like the ROY.
A couple of players with some value are Clay Matthews (Packers) at 12/1 and Larry English (Chargers) at 15/1. Matthews is expected to start at outside linebacker in Green Bay's new 3-4 defense and could rack up a ton of tackles. English, who was an impressive player at Northern Illinois, is expected to be a situational pass rusher for the Chargers and could rack up a ton of sacks.
